The Red House

Situated on the edge of Natura 2000 park, this country cottage sits high above a pond that is host to kingfishers, frogs and beavers. In the vicinity, and on the same estate, are the ruins of the stables and manor house (Dwór) as well as a public park with ancient monument to St Anthony. There is fishing available on nearby ponds. The area is rich in bird and insect life. This is a wild secluded oasis for those tired of the city noise.  The Red House was completely restored between 2016 and 2019. It has a traditional ceramic stove which heats up the house. But you will have to keep it going with wood stacked outside. Electric heaters provide additional heating through the night. The bathroom tables are hewed from an Acacia tree that had fallen nearby. There is no TV, but plenty of books and games.  We have Wifi connection via 4G antenna.   Water comes from the house well filtered with carbon and iron filters.  There is about 4 ha of grounds, much of it wild. Feel free to wonder around the dworek (manor house). There is a garden and lawn with the house itself.  You will be able to contact us during your stay for any problems, questions etc.  There are horse riding stables 10 minutes away in Ceglow. We have some children's bicycles which you can use free of charge to cycle around the nearby park and over hills to little villages. There are mushroom forests within short driving distance.  Both Mrozy and Ceglow are within 10 minutes drive. For those without car, we can arrange a local taxi to collect or deliver you from/to the station. the charge is PLN 40 one way. There are 2 village shops within walking distance - it takes about 15 mins to walk to them. There is a wonderful old wooden church in Jeruzal about 15mins drive.  Coronavirus: This house is isolated and self contained. 

Rates for Infants: 

Infants under 3 years old may stay for free provided they do not use a bed. Parents can bring their own Baby Bed, or rent one from us at PLN 50 per night.
